Dole partner, Nature's Produce, an importer and distributor of fresh fruit and vegetables across the Polish market, is proud to confirm commencement of construction of a new state of the art Central Distribution and Ripening Center (CDRC). Located in central Poland in the town of Ostrowiec, some 40 km south of Warsaw, best sustainable technologies will be integrated into the facility, including heat and rainwater recovery mechanisms, photovoltaic installations and a green roof. With operations in the new facility expected to go live in September 2026, the facility will occupy a total area of approximately 8,000 m² and will be built on a 3-hectare plot, with the potential for future expansion up to 16,000 m².
The CDRC will boast 16 modern ripening rooms, with space reserved for another 10 chambers, and will be dedicated to improving ever further the quality and shelf life of ‘Ready to Eat’ avocados, mangoes and other exotic fruits, categories in which Nature's Produce is already the Polish market leader. This investment reflects Dole and Nature’s Produce’s commitment to delivering bespoke services and produce to Polish customers. The facility will allow Nature’s Produce to further optimise operations and processes to bring to market produce ripened to perfection and customised specifically to reflect the local preferences of the Polish consumer.
Leveraging Dole’s global reach, production and vertically integrated supply chain, the CDRC will also serve as a platform for introducing and developing an ever broader range of products and categories to the Polish market. It will also create new and exciting opportunities for further growth of the Dole® brand in Poland, alongside the already established "Ready to eat" and "Ready for exotics" brands currently operated by Natures Produce across a broad spectrum of major Polish retail chains.
